2ND ANNUAL CAB INTERNATIONAL BROADCASTERS LUNCHEON AT BANFF TELEVISION FESTIVAL 2001

CANADIAN CULTURAL DIVERSITY AND TRADE – THE MARCH TO CULTURAL DIVERSITY

WHAT: The Canadian Association of Broadcasters will host their Second Annual International Broadcasters’ Dialogue, The March to Cultural Diversity. The event features guest panelists Canadian Heritage Minister Sheila Copps and International Trade Minister Pierre Pettigrew who will discuss how Canada has taken a strong lead in steering this issue onto the international stage and who will provide an overview of federal government trade and cultural diversity initiatives, policies and programs.

The invitation-only luncheon is expected to attract over 200 broadcasters, producers and cultural decision-makers from around the world to participate in the discussion.

WHEN: Monday, June 11, 2001, 12:45 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
