CRTC Adopts Revised Version of CAB's Best Practices for Diversity in Private Radio
In Broadcasting Public Notice 2007-122 the Commission adopts a revised version of the CAB's Best Practices. The CRTC also adopts a modified version of the CAB's approach to diversity for small members, on the issue of reporting requirements. Small commercial radio operators (with revenues of up to $20 million) will be exempted from reporting requirements. Regarding a proposal from the CAB that small radio operators be exempt from the Commission's new Canadian Content Development (CCD) policy, the Commission considers this premature.
